Promoting reuse
Among buyers, we believe we have an incredible opportunity to encourage reuse. In 2009, eBay launched three new collaborations with innovative organizations that are getting the idea of reuse right. Our friends at the Uniform Project, PopTech and ecofabulous turn oldies into goodies — and help protect our planet at the same time.

Global Citizenship Ventures
eBay Giving Works — Through eBay Giving Works and eBay for Charity, we are connecting customers in the U.S. and U.K. with the causes they care about by offering convenient and trusted ways to give to favorite nonprofits.
World of Good.com — Built with our partner World of Good Inc., WorldofGood.com directly connects a growing market of socially responsible consumers to thousands of underserved producers around the globe.
MicroPlace — Through MicroPlace, PayPal provides an easy and effective way for people to make investments in the world's working poor, helping to alleviate poverty.
eBay Foundation — The eBay Foundation was established in 1998 using pre-IPO stock, underscoring the company's longstanding commitment to philanthropy.
Public Policy
We also lend our voice to relevant public policy discussions, advocating aggressive legislation and calling for measurable change with partners such as the Business for Innovative Climate and Energy Policy (BICEP), a coalition of consumer-facing brands in the U.S. advocating for climate legislation. This builds on our signature of the 2007 Bali Communiqué on Climate Change, the 2008 Poznan Communiqué on Climate Change and the 2009 Copenhagen Communiqué on Climate Change, all calling for a comprehensive, legally binding United Nations framework to address climate change.
